alt-6 is both an image bank and an agency for photographers. It is also armed with a solid research engine permitting us to manage the existing collection as well as the new images taken by photographer-members.

It is a complete and organic structure in which each service compliments the other. Such a structure could be the result of long and fruitful market research.

Or not.

In our case, it's not. Sometimes things happen naturally and simply, like when one loves one's profession and one is demanding of oneself.

Here's how it happens:

1. You have an image bank for 4 years, involving more than 50 local photographers.

2. Convinced of their talent, you project them onto foreign markets.

3. You start to produce your own images to feed your image bank.

4. You adopt the best research engine there is.

5. Your clients trust you regularly when they are looking for a photographer in Montreal or the surrounding area to realize one of their projects.

6. You print a portfolio of hundreds of the bank's best images to approach agencies and talk photography.

7. People take the opportunity to ask for your advice about photographers' contracts, the profession's code of ethics, or models' working conditions.

8. The photographers call you too, of course, to find an assistant or a makeup artist, or to discuss a contract.

Just like that, you're already an agent.

That's how things occur sometimes: naturally and simply, like when our agency takes on the realization of your project.

No detail is beyond our areas of expertise:

Presentation of our photographers and consultation if desired.
Cost evaluation and elaboration of the most advantageous solution.
Choice of the most appropriate suppliers for the photo shoot or the production.
Coordination of schedules.
Negotiation of working conditions with the models.
Follow-up so that budgets and schedules are respected.
Management of the renewals of the photographers' rights.
